Seismoenergy (SAFER)

Research into seismic activity and energy. The project takes an evolutionary approach to studying earthquakes, developing methods for identifying active seismic zones and forecasting events.

The “Seismoenergy as Future Energy Resources” (SAFER) initiative focuses on establishing a new field of energy: Seismoenergy as an innovative energy source for the future.

Agrogeology

A drainage feasibility study and system-design project based on an innovative agrogeological approach for the Directorate General of Agricultural Engineering Research and Water Management, Department of Agriculture, Government of Sindh, Pakistan.

Cyr-SD — Cyrillic Sindhi

A project to develop a Cyrillic writing system and alphabet for the Sindhi language. The aim is not to transliterate the existing Perso-Arabic script, but to create a systematically designed Cyrillic alphabet capable of representing Sindhi phonological and graphemic distinctions.

Cyr-SD is based on a compact visual grammar: basic Cyrillic letters are supplemented with systematic graphic operators for the consistent representation of retroflex, aspirated, and implosive consonants. The project includes formalizing correspondences with the traditional Sindhi alphabet, developing a machine-readable Unicode representation, and testing the reversibility of conversions.

The project also includes Cyr-SD-L, a lossless layer for unambiguous, machine-reversible representation of source text while preserving distinctions in the original script. A separate readable/phonemic layer, Cyr-SD-R, is also planned.

EdEx Graph — Education Experience Graph

EdEx Graph is a conceptual and technological model for representing educational experience as a connected graph. Unlike the traditional linear model Course → Module → Lesson, the learning process is represented as a system of relationships among the learner, knowledge, activities, projects, artifacts, evidence of achievement, feedback, and people.

A separate strand of the project focuses on developing a formal model and a standard for exchanging this representation of educational experience across learning systems. EdEx Graph is envisaged as a possible complement to existing digital-learning approaches and standards, including SCORM and other formats that primarily describe the structure, delivery, or tracking of learning activity. The aim is to add a semantic layer that represents relationships among knowledge, activities, project work, evidence of learning, and feedback.
