Humanity has been working on quality for decades. We know the names Deming, Juran, Ishikawa. We’ve mastered and applied PDCA, Lean, Six Sigma, TQM. Around the world, companies have built robust systems of control and improvement based on these principles and they’ve delivered real results.

But today we stand at the threshold of a new era. An era where not only technologies are changing, but also the environment in which they operate. Digitalization, accelerated processes, global instability, and hybrid work models all are placing new demands on quality.

🟰 What’s happening?

  • Time-tested models don’t always adapt quickly to a changing reality.
  • Classical approaches often aim for stability rather than flexibility.
  • Quality systems are becoming too “heavy” for rapid implementation and updates.

And most importantly artificial intelligence (AI) has entered the stage. AI is not just a tool for automation. It’s a new mechanism for thinking, analysis, and decision-making. It transforms the very structure of processes from quality control to forecasting and self-learning systems.

❓ What does this mean?

  • We must not simply add to existing models we need to rethink the principles themselves.
  • Quality must shift from being primarily a controlling function to becoming adaptive, developmental, and innovative.
  • We need a new view of the roles of humans and AI in ensuring quality: Who is responsible? Who evaluates? Who makes the decisions?

Quality must be living, flexible, and intelligent. This is the time for Q-Innovate.

Q-Innovate exists to explore exactly this where modern quality is headed, what tools and approaches are needed today, and the role AI plays in shaping the future.
